Privacy and chatbot limits

How the support guide handles messages and what it can and cannot provide.

Your chat stays in this page

Messages are processed in your browser and held only in the current page. They are not sent to an AI provider or stored in a chat database. Resetting, refreshing, or closing the page removes this in-page conversation. Reset does not erase browser history, screenshots, or device monitoring.

Other website activity

Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary access and security logs, including IP addresses. Following an external source link takes you to another organization with its own privacy policy. Avoid sharing names, addresses, contact details, or other identifying information in the chat.

Limits of the guide

The chatbot uses scripted prompts and topic matching. It can misunderstand you, miss risk signals, or show material that does not fit. It has no human monitoring, diagnosis, treatment plan, ongoing clinical record, emergency dispatch, or clinician handoff. General exercises are optional and may not help; stop if they increase distress.

Age and choice

The interactive guide is for adults aged 18 or over. Young people can read the age-appropriate resource guide and contact a safe adult or qualified professional. Urgent-help information is available without consent or use of the chatbot.

Need support from a person?

For immediate danger, an overdose, or serious injury, contact local emergency services now. In India, call 112. For human mental-health support in India, Tele-MANAS: 14416 or 1800-891-4416. Tele-MANAS does not replace emergency response. Outside India, use your local emergency or crisis service.

No person monitors this chatbot. It cannot call help or reliably assess danger. More urgent-support information
